Who We Are

A Sanctuary for Women in Birmingham

SMART WOMEN COMMUNITY INTEREST COMPANY (Charity No. 08332277) are rooted in Sparkbrook and Sparkhill. We provide a women-only gym & sauna, community training, mental wellness programmes, food bank support, and culturally sensitive advisory services.

Our team speaks English, Urdu, Punjabi, Mirpuri and Pashto — we meet women where they are.

Fully equipped gym, steam & sauna exclusively for women. 163 active memberships, 3,912 total gym visits. Yoga, zumba, aerobics and fitness coaching.

ESOL English classes, digital literacy, first aid, online safety, youth workshops and risk assessment training. 60 participants in 2024.

Food Bank & Baby Boxes

670 food boxes, 510 baby boxes and 1,000+ warm nutritious meals distributed to families. Warm Welcome Spaces as community hubs.

Pink Ribbon Foundation breast cancer awareness programme reaching 86 women. Medical expert sessions, self-examination guidance and survivor counselling.
