Events

Our events bring women together to learn, celebrate, and connect. From health awareness days and cultural celebrations to workshops and seasonal gatherings, each event is designed to inspire, uplift, and strengthen community ties.

Monthly group Healthy Lifestyle Sessions for 12 months

Based on previous research done at the centre, we found that 53% (8 out of the 15) women in our focus group gave ideas around having sessions on healthier living for increased wellbeing.

The following sessions were therefore put in place (As per graph on the right)

These sessions have been taking place once a month, and we have been inviting professionals in their fields to host them. At each session, each woman is given the freedom to contribute as much or as little as they desire. This is vital, as explained by Leotti et.al, (2010), where they discuss the significance of choice, and the impact of this on an individual’s Self Efficacy.

A joyful community celebration marking the end of Ramadan, our Eid Mela brings families together for a day filled with cultural activities, food, music, and fun.
